According to Xtend Technologies President Tony Fabrick, “In our fifth year at the show, we are going all-out and showcasing the latest and greatest home technologies including 4K TVs and projectors, power reclining movie theater seats, a top-of-the-line Dolby Atmos theater sound system, an outdoor home theater with surround sound, and the ELAN g! Control System that lets you control everything in the home from a touch panel or a mobile device. For any homeowner or homebuyer, walking through this home is an incredible opportunity to get new ideas and try out the best home technologies available today.”

Spanning about 1,500 square feet, this home demonstrates an amazing amount of technology in a relatively small space. The team at Xtend Technologies built the entire home in just five weeks inside the I-X Center, complete with an in-ground pool designed and installed by Cleveland Aqua Pros. The Xtend team will be giving demonstrations all week, and show guests can walk through the home to try out the controls for themselves. If you want to see how it would really be to live with a fully integrated smart home, this is your best chance all year.

“What we love about this home show is that people of all ages and purchasing power can come through and get all kinds of ideas for their new homes or remodels,” Fabrick said. “Whether the buyer is looking for advanced security, simple control of TVs, music, lighting and heating, or something as simple as electronic door locks, our High Tech Entertainment Home will show them all the possibilities.”

Highlights of the home include a 150-inch outdoor movie screen, a multi-room audio system that extends outdoors, an indoor spa, the latest 4K TVs and projectors, a custom-built fiber optic Starfield ceiling, acoustical paneling that allows any room to achieve theater-quality sound, and simple control of every system through the ELAN system.

“The Starfield ceiling is the show-stealer, and the ELAN system is what ties everything together in the home. No matter how complex or sophisticated the home technology is, ELAN lets you control it all from a simple app on any mobile phone or tablet, or an ELAN remote or in-wall touch panel,” Fabrick added. “We’re excited to show people how easy it can be to change their home life to something much more fun and manageable. It’s very freeing to know that your security, surveillance, pool, door locks and heating/cooling are all preset and can run without your input, or you can easily change any setting from anywhere in the world on your smartphone. We want people to walk away knowing that if you can dream it, we can do it.”

“We are excited to support Extend Technologies in this awesome showcase home and to help them develop market awareness and business opportunities in their market,” said Joe Lautner, Core Brands Director of Business Development. “At Core Brands we have great programs to support our dealers in promoting home entertainment and control solutions and the business opportunities they generate.”

The show opens on Friday, February 6 and runs until Sunday, February 15, and is open to guests of all ages. Visitors can get show hours, directions and discount tickets online atwww.greatbighomeandgarden.com

Furman Wants to Hear from Performers and Artists at NAMM 2015!

Calling all Furman customers!  If you have a story to tell about how Furman power management solutions helped to save the day for you on stage or in a club or studio, then be sure to come to the Furman booth (#6745) at Winter NAMM 2015 in Anaheim, California from January 22-25, 2015.

“We have a custom fitted video booth for Furman customers to make their own video testimonial about Furman solutions in general and how they specifically helped to save the day for them,” explained Rob Harris, who leads Furman’s Artist Relations.  “People tell us stories all the time, so we thought it would be fun to share these with everyone."

According to Harris, NAMM Show attendees who want to make their video testimonial should simply come to the booth during exhibit hours and register to record their video on the spot in the Furman video booth.  The first 200 people to share their video on social media can get a Furman Hero T-shirt and will be entered to win a Furman PL-8C. And, while they are at the booth, show attendees can check out the new Furman M-8X AR — an entry-level voltage regulator specially designed to mitigate all forms of power fluctuation while providing nine regulated and conditioned outlets for recording studios, DJs, live music applications and pro audio rigs.

NanoLumens® Partners With Emerald Expositions and Pixelfire to Create Spectacular Entrance to GlobalShop 2015

Underscoring the role interactive display technology is playing in shaping the future of retail design, Emerald Expositions, producers of the annual GlobalShop Show, is partnering with NanoLumens® (www.nanolumens.com), the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of indoor LED visual display solutions, to create a spectacular interactive entrance to GlobalShop 2015, which runs from March 24—26, 2015 in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In selecting NanoLumens to create this new entranceway, Doug Hope, Vice President of Content at Emerald Expositions, said, “Because GlobalShop is the largest retail design trade show in the nation, we are always looking for ways to make a relatable design statement to the retail industry. In the newly expanded Mandalay Bay Convention Center, we have the additional challenge of scale in that most entrance units used by trade shows are dwarfed by the size of the Center.

“Compounding this is the rapidly accelerating fusion of digital and physical in the retail industry.  As a result, it became very clear to us that what we needed to do in 2015 was to create a large-scale digital project that is able to create an unmistakable entrance destination. With NanoLumens, GlobalShop is able to achieve all of the elements with one company’s product.  An added benefit to the NanoLumens solution is that the substrate is lightweight enough so that it can be rigged in the overhead structures of Mandalay Bay without any modifications,” Hope emphasized.

According to NanoLumens Vice President of Marketing & Business Development Nate Remmes, NanoLumens is pulling out all of the stops to create an entranceway that will stop show attendees in their tracks and engage them in a way they have never experienced before.  “We’re working with Pixelfire to create a 21st century visual experience that showcases how the latest web and native app technologies deliver multi-screen solutions that meet the growing demands of today's online, mobile and social consumers.”

According to Pixelfire President Steve Bumstead, “Pixelfire is renowned for creating stunning, out-of-the-box digital content that takes advantage of the very latest in display technology.  NanoLumens’ technology is the very best out there and we really looking forward to showcasing how our creative thinking can push the envelope in creating an immersive digital experience that is unique to GlobalShop and the retail channel of the 21st century.”
