Trident Case to Strengthen Its K-12 Commitment with New Additions to Its Award-Winning Product Line at FETC 2015

Underscoring its commitment to provide superior mobile device protection for the widest range of devices used in K-12 educational environments, Trident Case® today announced plans to introduce a new range of solutions designed to deliver more choice and flexibility to cost-conscious K-12 educators looking to protect their investment in smartphone and tablet technology.  The introductions will be made next week at FETC 2015 at Booth #1475 in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

“At FETC 2015 Trident is strengthening and expanding its commitment to educators with the introduction of our next generation of mobile device cases and storage units that make the in-classroom protection and storage of devices safer and more reliable,” explained Trident Vice President of Marketing Vickie Achee. “What’s more, we are introducing a new series of rugged tablet cases, as well as a new line of anti-microbial cases that will help prevent the spread of common microbes and reduces the growth of mold, mildew and odor causing bacteria on the product’s surface — a critical consideration for every educator given the fact that most devices are shared among many students during the course of the day.”

Leading the way for Trident at FETC 2015 is the all-new line of Trident Antimicrobial Cases. Powered by the premium iShieldz Antimicrobial Device Protection System with Silver Seal™ Antimicrobial Surface Protection, these cases are infused with silver ions that fight to keep devices up to 99.99% free of common microbes. Coupled with the iShieldz screen protector, both the Kraken AMS and Cyclops Antimicrobial cases offer users the ultimate protection from bacteria and drops or spills — making them ideal for use in classrooms where tablets are shared among students.

Also making its debut at FETC 2015 is the Trident Charging Cart, the ideal solution for charging multiple tablets in K-12 classrooms. Built-in charging ports allow users to charge up to 30 tablets at once, while a UV light inside the Charging Cart disinfects the cases while charging them. The cart, equipped with an acrylic frosted window to view the devices, fully charges all tablets in up to 4-6 hours. A red LED light indicates that the devices are charging, and a green LED light indicates that the devices are fully charged.

Trident is also showcasing its latest line of t cases for today’s newest and hottest tablets — including the new Trident Cyclops Case for the Surface™ 2 and Surface™ Pro 3 that protects tablets against drops and other impacts while simultaneously boasting an ultra slim and adaptable design. The user-friendly case guarantees convenience as well, as it is compatible with all angles of the Surface kickstand. In addition, a removable cover port enables seamless use with the Surface Type Cover keyboard, while the case is still on.

Finally, the Trident Kraken A.M.S. Series, which offers the maximum level of tablet protection, is now available for the iPad Air 2. The polycarbonate and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) construction provides dual layer protection that includes a built-in screen protector to prevent scratches. The Kraken A.M.S. case is fully adaptable to any lifestyle, as it includes a twist-and-lock attachment port at the back of the case that supports a variety of accessories such as the A.M.S. Tablet Stand and dozens of mounts from Arkon. These ultra-tough cases are proven to stand up to the harshest conditions, meeting Military Standard MIL-STD-810F for protection against drops, dust, rain, sand and vibration.

Trident Case® Introduces Its First Ever Qi-Enabled Case and Charger Series, Offering Wireless Charging For Mobile Devices

Furthering its commitment to provide the most innovative accessories for every mobile device, Trident Case® announced the introduction of the expanded Electra Series with a new line of wireless chargers and cases that leverages Qi inductive charging technology to wirelessly charge mobile devices. The series comprises five wireless chargers and two Qi-capable cases.

“We are proud to announce our membership with the Wireless Power Consortium to develop and introduce wireless chargers for Trident Case users,” Trident Vice President of Marketing Vickie Achee said. “Inductive charging eliminates the need for a power cord or battery replacement, making devices more convenient. Now, Trident users can charge their mobile devices with any one of our five easy-to-use chargers that use Qi wireless charging technology.”

Since some devices are not Qi-compatible, Trident Case also introduced a line of Electra Qi cases that enables Apple®’s iPhone® 4/4S and iPhone 5/5S, and Samsung®’s  Galaxy S® IV to wirelessly charge with Trident’s new Qi accessories. The Apple iPhone 4/4S Qi Electra case, the Apple iPhone 5/5S Qi Electra case and the Samsung Galaxy S IV Qi Electra case enable users to charge their devices by simply placing them on the Electra wireless charging pads. The cases also feature a sleek outer-framework that encloses the device and provides protection. A self-applicable screen protector helps to keep the device’s screen in optimal condition.

For Qi-capable mobile devices, Trident’s new Dual Wireless Charging Pad enables users to charge their phone by placing it directly on top of a soft-touch polycarbonate charging pad. It has enough room to charge two devices at once, plus a convenient media stand that allows angling at 20 degrees and 45 degrees while anti-skid feet keep the charging pad in place. The pad supports all Qi-compatible one amp devices, including smartphones, digital cameras, mp3 players and more. Similarly, the Single Wireless Charging Pad offers the same capabilities for one mobile device at a time. The pad includes an indicator light, as well as an anti-skid ribbon and anti-skid feet to keep the device in place while charging.

While on the go, mobile device users can bring Trident’s Wireless Portable Power 4000 to ensure that their devices remain charged in the absence of an outlet. The portable Qi charger comes equipped with a rechargeable 4000 mAh lithium polymer battery and an LED light to indicate the mobile device’s charging status. Users can place a Qi-compatible mobile device on top of the pad, or plug any USB-chargeable device into the side USB port.

Designed to provide drivers with a portable charging station, Trident’s Wireless Charging Cup Holder enables users to wirelessly charge their devices by sliding their Qi-equipped device into an opening slit at the top of the charger. Also supporting one amp devices, the small and compact design makes the product compatible with most standard in-vehicle cup holders.

For non Qi-enabled mobile devices, Trident’s Wireless Charging Adapter includes permanently connected micro-USB and lightning charging cables for compatibility with all of today’s most popular devices. The adapter works with the Qi-equipped Wireless Charging Pad to charge non-compatible Qi devices portably. The charging adapter also features a green LED light that indicates that the adapter is wirelessly connected to the pad and is transmitting power.

Achee asserts that wireless charging offers many benefits to mobile device users, as Qi cases eliminate the need for a power cord or battery replacement while ensuring that phones sustain battery throughout the day. “Wireless chargers also reduce energy costs by leveraging the ability to power multiple devices from a single source,” she said.

Qi (pronounced Chee) is an interface standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium for inductive electrical power transfer, designed to deliver the best user experience and offer the most innovative charging method on the market.

Qi utilizes inductive charging, which is a method of moving power wirelessly. In order to transfer power, a power-generating source system is placed near a power storing system. An electromagnetic field is generated between the two objects, and power then moves from one system to the other.

Qi is also fully compatible, meaning that any phone or device carrying the Qi logo will work with any charging surface that also carries the Qi logo. Qi-enabled devices include the Blackberry Z30, Google Nexus 7, LG G2, HTC Droid and many more.

Trident Case is a member of the Wireless Power Consortium, with products in the process of being officially approved. All approved Trident Case products will be added to the Wireless Power Consortium website for consumers and businesses to verify authenticity.

Trident Case offers six series of protective carrying solutions providing one, two, or three layers of protection: Kraken A.M.S. Series, Aegis Series, Cyclops Series, Perseus A.M.S. Series, Electra Series, and Apollo Series. All Trident cases use bio-enhanced, plastic based products that are recyclable, compostable, and degradable. Trident cases are manufactured in the USA.
