According to Paul Weatherhead, Advanced’s Product Manager for Samsung School and Chrome OS devices, Advanced is now offering the Samsung Chromebook along with the Google Chrome Management Console, a web-based device management solution, with plans to offer training and device management tools as well.

“In addition to the device and Web-based management console,” he said, “we will soon introduce additional services such as Chromebook training and professional development, mobile device management solutions, device tracking and device security solutions.”

Designed with the education market in mind, Google’s Chromebook Management Console makes it easy for IT administrators to deploy devices and centrally manage and scale a fleet of Chromebooks throughout a school district. The web-based management console lets administrators set up and manage users, applications and organizational policies across an entire fleet of Chrome devices, even if the devices are distributed across many classrooms or locations.

For any organization or school facing budget or IT support challenges, deploying Chrome OS devices such as the Samsung Chromebook in place of traditional computers can reduce the overall cost of IT support and device management, not to mention the time required to re-image computer assets each year.

“Combining the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 with the Samsung Chromebook and Google Chrome Management Console provides educators with the most advanced and manageable learning solution available,“ Weatherhead emphasized.
